At StagelightPLUS, students in Grades K-8 throughout the school year can put on a FULL SHOW PRODUCTION, all while receiving professional instruction in singing, acting, and dancing. Our goal is to expose children to the performing arts while uplifting their confidence and giving them a great time! This program is perfect for kids who are either just getting started in the Performing Arts, are doing it for the fun and confidence-building, are exploring this field as a hobby, or want the chance to shine on the stage! We teach every child how to think outside the box, not be self-conscious, listen and react, and GO BIG OR GO HOME!

SHREK THE MUSICAL KIDS for Grades K-8

This is our first step in training. This session allows performers the chance to receive professional training in singing, acting, and dancing while getting a feel for what it’s like to put on a full show complete with costumes, set, lights, and mics.
West Chester (19 Hagerty Blvd): Can choose Saturdays 9-11AM, OR Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 5:15-7:15PM. Auditions will take place during their first class, the week of September 5-10th. Rehearsal Training Sessions then continue through the weeks of September 12-17th through November 21-26th for 10 TOTAL weeks. (Please note: we will be taking off the weeks of October 3-8th and November 14-19th)
Performances: The Saturday class will perform on November 21st at 10AM & 11:30AM (with a call time at 8:45AM), the Monday class will perform on November 23rd at 6:00PM & 7:30PM (with a call time of 4:45pm), the Wednesday class will perform on November 25th at 6:00PM & 7:30PM (with a call time of 4:45pm), the Thursday class will perform on SATURDAY, November 28th at 7:00PM & 8:30PM (with a call time of 5:45pm, to avoid a performance on the Thanksgiving holiday). Attendance at both performance times is MANDATORY!
COST for each session: $295 + a $70 registration fee (which covers two guaranteed tickets to each show, their costumes, and their script that they can keep as a memento). Due to space limitations, we will NOT be selling extra tickets to the performances, so please plan accordingly.
Chester Springs (1645 Art School Rd): Can choose Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays 5:15-7:15PM. Auditions will take place during their first class, the week of September 14-17th. Rehearsal Training Sessions then continue through the weeks of September 28-October 1st through December 7-10th for 10 TOTAL weeks. (Please note: we will be taking off the weeks of September 21-24th, October 5-8th, and November 16-19th. Also, to avoid rehearsing during the Thanksgiving Holiday, the Wednesday class will rehearse on Saturday, November 21st 9-11am, and the Thursday class with rehearse on Sunday, November 22nd 9-11am, instead of November 25-26th)
Performances: The Monday class will perform on December 7th at 6:00PM & 7:30PM (with a call time of 4:45pm), the Tuesday class will perform on December 8th at 6:00PM & 7:30PM (with a call time of 4:45pm), the Wednesday class will perform on December 9th at 6:00PM & 7:30PM (with a call time of 4:45pm), and the Thursday class will perform on December 10th at 6:00PM & 7:30PM (with a call time of 4:45pm). Attendance at both performances is MANDATORY!

*REFUND POLICY (UPDATED 6/1/26):
You may receive a FULL refund if you cancel your registration more than two weeks in advance of the start date.
You may receive a 50% refund if you cancel within two weeks in advance of the start date.
Refunds are not offered within one week in advance of the start date or once the session begins. There are no exceptions.
If one session day needs to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (inclement weather, power outage, building complications, etc), partial refunds or registration credits will NOT be offered. In the event that two or more session days need to be canceled, guaranteed make-up session dates will be offered.
Stagelight does not offer credits for future programs
In the event of a government pandemic shut-down, all students will be offered compensation options for the days in which they miss.
